W\u00e4hrend des II. Weltkrieges engagierte sie sich im antifaschistischen Widerstand. Sp\u00e4ter arbeitete sie als Journalistin und Autorin und war eine wichtige Figur f\u00fcr das literarische Leben Italiens. Viele ihrer Erz\u00e4hlungen wurden verfilmt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ihr Notizbuch diente ihrer intimen Gedanken. Wie der Tochter geht es Valeria, Figur im Roman, auch selbst. Immerzu muss sie eine Rolle spielen, die ihr eigentlich gar nicht entspricht. Das Heft, in welches sie all das notiert, hat sie ein paar Wochen zuvor erstanden; an einem Sonntag, da d\u00fcrfen Tabakh\u00e4ndler eigentlich nur Rauchwaren verkaufen, deshalb ist es ein &#8222;verbotenes Notizbuch&#8220;. Seither hat Valeria panische Angst, jemand k\u00f6nnte ihr Gedankenjournal entdecken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Schreibend versucht Valeria das Kuddelmuddel widerstrebender Gef\u00fchle zu entwirren: Leidenschaft steht gegen Konvention, Selbstverwirklichung gegen Familienbande. Das Widerspiel der Kr\u00e4fte in der Psyche eines Menschen schildert der Roman von 1952 &#8222;Das verbotene Notizbuch&#8220; eindrucksvoll.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die starren Rollenmuster in der Geschichte, die rigiden Moralvorstellungen, die der Erz\u00e4hlung zu Grunde liegen &#8211; aus heutiger Sicht wirken sie aber doch ein wenig verstaubt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ob das Notizbuch in den 50er Jahren wirklich verboten war und eine schreibende Frau einen Skandal hervorgerufen h\u00e4tte, ist nicht klar. <meta charset=\"utf-8\">Das &#8222;Notizbuch&#8220; ist vielmehr eine Metapher f\u00fcr die innere Welt Valerias: Gedanken und Gef\u00fchle, die sie im Alltag, auch und gerade vor ihrer Familie, verborgen h\u00e4lt.Michele, der Ehemann, sagt seit langem nur noch &#8222;Mama&#8220; zu ihr.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Valeria ist nicht die einzige mit einem Geheimnis.
