Ab dem Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts war es eine B\u00fchne, die von Privatpersonen gef\u00fchrt und finanziert wurde und einen Programmplan f\u00fcr Bildungsb\u00fcrger hatte. Im 20. Hinter seiner eleganten klassizistischen Fassade beherbergt das 1849 gegr\u00fcndete Theater in der Schumannstra\u00dfe heute drei B\u00fchnen: Die DT B\u00fchne mit ca. 600 Pl\u00e4tzen, die Kammer mit ca. 230 Pl\u00e4tzen sowie die Box \u2013 eine kompakte Blackbox im Foyer der Kammer mit 80 Zuschauerpl\u00e4tzen.
